小人物改变世界的故事

Our second film series of 2012 focuses on individuals making a difference to defend the environment and protect their family. These films are just in time for Earth Day and focus on the individuals who speak up when there is an injustice. Why are there so many popular films on this topic? Because these stories are about heroes! It’s hard to stand up for what you believe in and have the courage to demand change. These films are about how one person can change the world.2012 年的第二个电影系列关注于为保护环境和家人而努力的个人。在地球日到来之际，这些电影适时地介绍了这些面对不公正挺身而出的人们。为什么关于这个主题有如此多受欢迎的电影？因为它们讲述的是关于英雄的故事！坚持自己的信仰并有勇气要求变革是不容易做到的事情。而这些影片恰是描述一个小人物如何能改变世界。

Most of the films in the series are based on real stories and real heroes who put everything on the line to right a wrong. You’ll see a story of a woman murdered because she spoke out against safety hazards at a factory. You’ll see an unemployed single mother who takes down a company that is polluting the city’s water supply. What makes these individuals so brave to speak up when others won’t? Join us on Thursday nights and find out!这个系列里的大多数电影都是根据真实事件改编的，讲的是真正的英雄为了正确的事情孤注一掷去奋斗。你将会看到各种故事，譬如一位女性因抗议工厂安全危险而被杀害，一个失业的单身母亲将一个污染城市水源的公司告倒，等等。当大多数人沉默时，是什么能让这些人勇于站出来发言？那就参加我们的电影夜来发现吧！

Films will be shown on Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM in the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General Shanghai (1376 Nanjing West Road, East Office Building, 5th Floor, Room 540). All films will be shown in English. Admission is FREE and open to the public.电影将在美国驻上海领事馆新闻文化处放映，时间是周四晚上六点三十分，我们的地址是南京西路1376号上海商城东峰5楼540房间。所有影片为英文对白，英文字幕。活动免费向公众开放。
