狮子王音乐剧本
《狮子王》被百老汇根据改编成音乐剧后大获好评，获得了多项东尼奖。
音乐剧狮子王
第一场：
开场舞“庆生”
爸：孩子阳光照耀的一切都是我们的国家。
辛：这一切都是我们的吗?
爸：对!所有的一切!
辛：这样我就可以随心所欲啦。
爸：生为国王，你要爱你的臣民，包括爬行的蚂蚁和跳跃的羚羊。
辛：我记住了，我要尊重所用生灵。爸爸我们会永远在一起吗?
爸：当然，我的孩子。我会永远爱你，而你要爱你的臣民，因为你是未来的国王。
辛：我是国王。我是国王。我是国王啦!
当辛巴知道后，十分兴奋地跳起舞来。
第二场：
刀：噢。辛巴!
辛：你知道吗叔叔，爸爸刚才跟我说了什么?
刀：说了什么?
辛：我要当国王啦!
刀：噢，恭喜你!(生气)
辛：将来我当了国王，我会将会怎样册封你呢?
刀：你去一边吧!(更生气)
辛：我爱我的王国，我也爱你叔叔!
辛巴走了。
第三场：
刀：我就是不同意，国王为什么不是我!
土狼：我最痛恨那些狮子。如果没有那些狮子，那么我每天就可以吃许多动物啦!新国王应该是你刀疤!
刀：如果我当了国王，我就会让你们天天吃饱。
土狼：那我们应该怎么办?
刀：杀了木法沙!
刀疤和土狼一同舞蹈，商量计策。
第四场：
刀：辛巴为了恭喜你，我为你准备了一个天大的惊喜。
辛：那是什么?
刀：现在不能告诉你，一会你就知道了。
辛：我会喜欢这个惊喜吗?
刀：你会喜欢死的!
土狼：我饿了，我能吃下一头肥牛。不过我会忍住，等把木法沙杀死我就会有吃也吃不完的肥牛啦!哈哈哈!
第五场：
这时辛巴在玩，他吼叫着，一群野牛被土狼赶过来。辛巴害怕了。
辛：爸爸救命呀!
爸：辛巴，我来了。(爸爸被野牛们踩死了)
辛：爸爸是我害死了你。
第六场：
娜娜：辛巴!辛巴!快起来……
辛：你是谁?我这是在哪?
娜娜：我是娜娜，你现在在
辛：噢!我想起来了!是我害死我的爸爸!(哭)
娜娜：不!不是你辛巴!是刀疤和土狼骗了你，他们才是杀死你爸爸的坏蛋。
辛：原来是这样。
娜娜：现在小动物们都很可怜，他们天天受到土狼们的欺负。
辛：我要回去，去拯救我的王国!
娜娜：让我们一起走吧，回去拯救我们的王国。
(舞蹈)
看到刀疤和土狼!
辛：噢!你好呀!刀疤!
刀疤：你是谁!
辛：难道你不认识我了吗!我就是辛巴!
娜娜：辛巴!是他们害死了你的爸爸木法沙!
刀疤，土狼：不是!不是我们!
娜娜：是他们!
辛巴和娜娜一起与刀疤、土狼搏斗起来，将刀疤和土狼打死。
第六场：
娜娜：辛巴，看这是你的国家，你要爱你的臣民们!
娜娜和辛巴一起走上山头，所有的小动物欢迎她们的归来!(舞蹈)
从此他们幸福的生活在一起!

{the circle of life ground forms in the bs's and holds its pattern for eight bars. it is a nonchordal bs part. the progressions are in the medium ranges of the strings.various pans and camera views of african animals all moving. coinciding with the fs pickup in the eighth bar, we first view the giraffes, panning to a long shot of all the animals in their procession}

fs: from the day we arrive on the planet
and, blinking, step into the sun
there's more to see than can ever be seen
more to do than can ever be done
{camera is panning and jumping to elephants, zebras, ants, birds, storks, etc... }
there's far too much to take in here
more to find than can ever be found
but the sun rolling high
through the sapphire sky
keeps great and small on the endless round
{when the 'the circle of life' is mentioned the longdistance pan centers on pride rock where all the animals are gathering. mufasa is on pride rock. long camera arc to mufasa and zazu.}
it's the circle of life
and it moves us all
{zazu bows to mufasa, who smiles and nods at him}
through despair and hope
through faith and love
{appearance of rafiki, the mandrill. he passes between ranks of animals, who bow to him; he then climbs pride rock to where mufasa is standing.}
till we find our place
on the path unwinding
